Marketing Coordinator
Reporting to: National Head of Marketing and Durban Office Marketing Partner
Primary responsibilities:
- organising client and staff events
- managing the marketing database on CRM
- assistance with tenders and proposals
This includes:
Events:
- Creation, maintenance and implementation of a Durban office events calendar to support the brand. This involves: Conceptualising events, invitations, RSVPs, event decor and branding, registration/name tags, budget, photography, social media and PR. Ensuring photos of appropriate events are sent to relevant media.
- Key Account Management: support the partners to implement KAM activities in the region for their KAM clients
- Conceptualising, organising and managing all internal staff events, including working with the BDO Values, CSI, Sports & Social Committees
Client Database:
- Ensuring the Durban marketing CRM database is kept up to date for timely communication to clients
Tenders:
- assisting with the compilation of tenders – gathering relevant information, completing tender documents
Proposals:
- working with partners and manager to produce new business proposals
Other Marketing Responsibilities
- Assist HR with graduate recruitment marketing
- Ensuring the Durban office is represented in all National internal marketing communication – newsletters, BDO TV, etc
Office Administration
- Ad hoc reception duties
QUALIFICATIONS
Public Relations or Events qualification
EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
- +/- 5 years in an events coordinator and/or admin/PA role.
- Experience in a professional services firm would be advantageous
- English proficient
- Microsoft office proficiency and ability to learn how to use new technical platforms (CRM, Maconomy, etc)
- Organised, energetic and structured, with initiative
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Excellent written and spoken communication, time management, social awareness, attention to detail
